The Cometa Triumphs in the Ruta de la Tramuntana with Ausmar as Official Sponsor
L'Escala, June 10, 2024 - The Cometa, X35 helmed by Lluís Blanchar from Club Náutico El Balís, was crowned overall winner and A2 category champion in the XXXI edition of the Ruta de la Tramuntana, held on June 7-8 along the Costa Brava. The Mágica, X-41 helmed by Marco Corno from Club Náutico Masnou, won in the Full Crew category.
The first race, shortened to 32.6 miles due to weather conditions, saw the Smerit, helmed by Tito Moure, reach Palamós first. After time correction, the Cometa took the top spot. In the second race, covering 12.8 miles, the Mágica led in real-time, but once again, the Cometa claimed victory after the time correction.
The award ceremony featured local authorities and sponsors, highlighting Ausmar as the official sponsor. The event concluded with a tasting of L'Escala anchovies and a fiduà for all crews.
