It can be easily deployed from its case, and it offers a rigid structure that allows carrying an injured by a team. Its compact structure eases its stowage in an emergency vehicle.
Four Section Stretcher
In addition to the stiffness features of the Rod Stretcher, the Four Section Stretcher stands out for its ability to be folded in up to four sections, therefore fitting into a backpack or small holdall. The snap together construction allows it to be assembled in less than 20 seconds.
It is a device that is highly portable, compact, lightweight and yet strong and rigid when assembled.
Both the Rod Stretcher and the Four Section Stretcher are fully adjustable, can accommodate a wide range of sizes and will securely contain a casualty for horizontal or vertical lift.
Both the Fibrelight Rod Stretcher and the Fibrelight Four Section Stretcher have been testes with a static load, suspended horizontally by four side handles loaded with 200 kg for 1 hour. Snatch test, suspended horizontally by four side handles loaded with 100 kg. One pair of handless dropped 150 mm and arrested abruptly, repeated for 10,000 cycles to simulate movement over rough terrain for 5 km. No damage or deterioration was evident on completion of these tests.
